Reconstruction

The Vixen got a face-lift at Mike Day's - The Body Works (124 Westgate Street, Las Cruces, New Mexico, telephone 505-541-5772). John & Judy maintained a record of the changes in the exterior of the Vixen on this page as the work progressed. The bubble roof has been fiberglassed to the body, the dings removed, an air scoop added to the driver's side rear panel, and a new paint job. They had a metal plate fiberglassed into the roof to act as a ground plane for John's ham radio antenna. Click on the thumbnail images below to see enlarged photos.
